​The Urban Action Showcase International Action Film Festival accepts Live Action and Animation Films of the Blockbuster Action genre. Winners will receive trophies and be eligible for *Funding and Distribution Opportunities on various platforms including Amazon, Urban Action Showcase Cinema, Vimeo, Netflix, Hulu and more!

Submission Fees

1. ​​Content must have been directed, written, and or star persons of color (Asian, Black, Latino, Women, Others).
2. Filmmaker/Content Creator must be 18 years of age or older or have parental consent to enter.
3. Content must meet the specific contest requirements for the Contest or Category that it is submitted to.
4. ​All content submissions must be Full HD 1920 x 1080 or Higher.
5. Content must be in English or have English Subtitles.
6. The Urban Action Showcase International Action Film Competitions are open worldwide!
7. The film must have been completed no earlier than January 2021.
8. The Blood Sweat n Bones Feature Film Contest budget must be under $10,000.00.
9. The Blood Sweat n Bones Short Film Contest budget must be under $2500.00.
10. All Late Submissions must be received by August 10 2026.
11. All Official Selections Notification Date: August 15, 2026.
12. Deliverables Due Date: September 10! Content will be ineligible to screen if not received on time!
13. All Official Selections must sign the Screening Waiver document by Sept. 20 in order to be screened at the UASIAFF.
14. *If Selected you must provide a link to a DCP (Flat or Scope Only) download of your film by Sept. 10, 2026!
15. *If you don't have a DCP of your content it will not be eligible to Screen. You can get a DCP through Filmfreeway here We offer limited services ($60 Short Films/$100 /Features)
16. Filmmakers are responsible for the validity of their content (DCP, Backup Files, etc.) If there is an error with the DCP content it won't be discovered until it fails during screening. A backup file will be shown later after the film block depending on time available.

All Screenings will take place at Regal Times Square on November 14, 2026 from 10:30 AM to Midnight!

Shorts must be a minimum of 3 minutes and maximum 40 minutes.

​Includes Feature Narrative & the Blood Sweat n Bones No Budget Contests..Features must be a minimum of 60 minutes and maximum of 120 minutes.

​New Media Content must be 20 to 60 min long

​​Web Series: All episodes must be a minimum of 3 minutes and maximum 45 minutes. ​​
​TV Pilots must be a minimum of 28 minutes and maximum 60 minutes.

​​A.I Shorts: All episodes must be a minimum of 3 minutes and maximum 30 minutes. ​​
​A.I Fight Scenes  must be a minimum of 30 seconds and maximum 3 minutes.

​This category is open to the best Action Films that feature female Principle or Supporting character actors in a Feature, Short, New Media, Web Series or 2 Minute Warning Action Sequence categories.  

Submit any Script in the Action, Adventure, Martial Arts, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, or Supernatural genre for a Feature Film or TV Pilot (45 pages to 150 pages). The Script must be written by a person of color or have characters of color in principle roles. The winners will receive the Award for their category. Other prizes to be announced.

​This category is for the Fans of the Action/Adventure, Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Supernatural films that we all love. Submit your Fan Film for the chance to be screened in Times Sq. NYC!
