Congratulations to the 2020 Urban Action Showcase International Action Film Festival Official Selections. We are grateful for the hundreds of filmmakers and writers who despite the Pandemic adversities, pressed through and submitted content to our festival. We solute all creators and encourage everyone of you to keep creating as you have become an essential life line in these challenging times. We are especially proud of the over 100 Filmmakers and Script Writers that were selected for this year's Virtual screenings on the UASC phase 1 OTT and Web channels. To view this year's Official Selections you will have to go to our UASC web channel and in order to view on Roku or Apple TV you will have to sign up for an Free Account on Binge Networks then simply click our UASC channel which is the first channel on the main page. Individual Film Blocks as well as All Access Festival screening passes will be on sale from November 6 - 14 to support your favorite filmmakers. All Virtual Attendees get to vote for our first Audience Choice Award. The Urban Action Showcase Cinema channel launched with it's Sheroes in Action Cinema Short Film Showcase and Q & A featuring 5 eclectic female Actress/Filmmakers who are making their mark in the Action genre. Founder and Host Demetrius Angelo began the evening with an introduction of the platforms vision which is to showcase diversity and inclusion in the blockbuster Action genre! The UASC channel features a myriad of sub channels which include All Action Cinema, Angels of Action Cinema, Back 2 Black Action Cinema, Martial Arts Action Cinema, Red Sash Theatre, and more!. The Short Film Showcase featured Short Action films featuring rising Action Actors and Filmmakers Sonalii Castillo (Mamba), Vanessa Bontea (Rise of The Osiris), Melanin Rosalin Heard (Cops), Teresa Nash (Hard Target),Zhuzha Akova (Ekaterina) and moderated by veteran Stunt Performer/Action Actor/Filmmaker Evelyn O. Vaccaro of John Wick 3. Special surprise guest Black Panther Dora Milaje Actress/Stunt Performer Jenel Stevens joined the panel to close the show. Guest appearances by The Last Dragon's Lisa Dalton and the founder of the Women;s Martial Arts Network and star of the History Channel's Knife or Death,Lady Sensei encouraged the panel adding to the conversation about breaking stereotypes in Action Cinema was both empowering and enlightening.
